I found my radio! It was right where I left it apparently. Last night, the Summer Staff went on the annual Scuppernong River Canoe Trip and Camp out...the trip was very pleasant. The attitude of this staff is the most pleasant of any I have ever worked with in my life.
This staff has a good attitude and gumption. There are always improvements that can be made, and I will make them with each staffer individually.
On the canoe trip:
Bugs were not bad at all
Chris , Health Coordinator, caught a five pound bass.
Everybody caught a bass but me.
We ate Campfire Pizza and no-bake cheesecake made in the outdoors.
Lee ate a granola bar, with raisins, albeit.
We took a night hike, which was fun.
6 people sustained ant bites.
Nobody got lost or told anybody to get lost.
The campfire was made of hickory, and smelled like a tasty barbecue.
Nobody flipped a canoe - first time EVER.
AJ was not selected for jury duty.
They will be done at lunch today - I have to go and pick them up.
Today, everybody will rest, but once they are rested, we will clean boats and get supplies.
Relay for Life is this weekend. The Center is hosting the event...please - no rain.
Everybody gets the whole weekend off.
Tomorrow's training schedule: "Surviving the Daily Grind", "Diversity", and "Operation Purple."
War Eagle!
Enjoy the day...
